London Marathon 2027 ballot

We’re thrilled to announce that Royal Berks Charity has secured ONE coveted place in the 2027 TCS London Marathon — and it could be yours!

This is your chance to be part of one of the world’s most iconic races while raising funds that make a real difference to patients and staff at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

From improving patient care to funding vital equipment, every step you take and every pound you raise helps us go further for our hospital and community. Whether you’re inspired by a loved one, received care yourself, or just want to make a difference — we’d love to hear from you.

To ensure our place goes to someone passionate about supporting our cause, we’re asking all applicants to tell us why they want to run for Team Royal Berks in 2027.

There’s nothing quite like the London Marathon — the crowds, the atmosphere, the finish line
feeling. But most importantly, you’ll be making an incredible impact on local healthcare services.

• MINIMUM FUNDRAISING TARGET: £2,500
• APPLICATIONS CLOSE: 5 JUNE 2026
• SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT NOTIFIED: 26 JUNE 2026

that’s great!

If you’re successful in securing a ballot spot, please let us know by emailing:
[email protected] so we can offer our charity place to another hopeful runner.

We’d still love you to run for us and will support you all the way if you choose to fundraise for Royal Berks Charity.

As our official runner, you’ll agree to:

• Take a ballot if you are one of the lucky ones
• Commit to raising a minimum of £2,500
• Raise a minimum of £500 by 1 March 2027, including Gift Aid or matched fundraising
• Hit the remaining fundraising milestones
• Agree to sharing your story with communications
• Train for the big day!

We’ll support you every step of the way by providing:

• Regular charity contact
• A Royal Berks Charity running vest/t-shirt (provided before race day)
• A cheering station with team signs and support if you are unable to provide your own supporters
• And we’ll be there to welcome you at the finish line and celebrate your progress
